We shall be having the concluding Ceremony Programme of 4th Phase of Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan at Ramakrishna Mission on Saturday, the 28th July at 4 pm.

Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru has set up a Vermicompost plant with support from MRPL as a Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan initiative. This plant will be inaugurated by Sri Vedavyas Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru South on 3rd June at 4.30 pm.
Ashram has also set up a Drinking Water Treatment plant to provide pure drinking water to hundreds of students and devotees who frequent our Ashrama with the help from MRPL & SKF Elixir Pvt India Ltd. This will be inaugurated on 3rd June at 4.30 pm.

Since last 3 years, The Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru is spearheading a mass-movement “Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan” after a special appeal from the Government of India. In the first 2 phases of the Abhiyan, Ashrama conducted 40 cleanliness drives in and around Mangalore spreading awareness among the masses. Third phase saw the Ashrama successfully completing 500 cleanliness drives in various parts of Mangalore and nearby areas. Ashrama has planned 4 novel initiatives in the current fourth phase. Daily Abhiyan has volunteers from the Ashrama reaching out a minimum of 100 households/shopkeepers a day spreading awareness about hygiene and cleanliness. In Weekly Abhiyan on Sunday mornings, group of volunteers clean a particular area in the city and undertake some basic civil repair work benefiting the common mass. Ashram has also adopted about 100 villages in Mangaluru & Bantwala taluks where cleanliness drives are conducted once in a month.
Swacch Manas Programme is a tender offshoot of the Swacchata Abhiyan catering to about 10000 students. About 100 schools have been selected and training sessions are conducted once in a month in each school targeting 100 selected students in each school. Students are enlightened about the cleanliness, garbage segregation, hygiene and other aspects. Ashram is also designing a workbook to effectively reach out to the students with the message of awareness.

Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru is launching 4th phase of the Swacchata Abhiyan on 3rd November. Honorable Union Minister of State for Drinking Water & Sanitation, Sri Ramesh Kumar Jigajinagi will be inaugurating the programme at 9.00 am.

Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru took up the 3rd phase of Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan on 2nd October 2016. Since then for nearly 40 weeks, more than 60 groups have consistently carried out Swacchata Abhiyan for the last 40 weeks.
We shall be having the concluding Programme of 3rd Phase of Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan in our Ashrama on Sunday, 11th June 2017. Swami Gautamanandaji maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math & Mission will be presiding over the programme & Sri H K Patil, Hon.
