Viveka Saurabha – CD of songs on Swami Vivekananda released


Sri Govind D Begaonkar, City Editor, The Hindu, Mangalore released the CD, “Viveka Saurabha” containing the songs on Swami Vivekananda sung by Surmani Sri Dattatreya Velankar, a disciple of Pandit Vinayak Torvi. The CD is brought out by Ramakrishna Math Mangalore on the occasion of ensuing 150th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The Ashrama aims to reach out to more and more youths with the songs on life and teachings of Swamiji. The CD is priced at a nominal amount of Rs. 50/- and is available at all centres of Ramakrishna Math, Karnataka. For more details interested may contact (0824) 2414412.


Jnanavahini – mobile book stall launched @ Mangalore Ramakrishna Math


Mangalore Ramakrishna Math has launched “Jnanavahini” – a mobile book stall on the 26th January, the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. Sri C M Tallur, AGM, State Bank of India, Mangalore inaugurated the unit.
The mobile book stall will contain the books on value education, Personality development, character building and books on and by Swami Vivekananda, CDs, posters etc.
The vehicle will visit the educational institutions and other establishments and exhibit the literature.

Yoga Camp @ Mangalore Ramakrishna Math


Ashrama is organizing a yoga camp for fifteen days starting from 12th February. The camp will be from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm everyday and will be guided by Sri Mohan Kumblekar. Interested participants have to register their names beforehand at the Ashrama office.
